Valladolid and the River Douro

To quote Wikipedia: Valladolid is "situated at the confluence of the Pisuerga and Esgueva rivers 15 km before they join the Duero".

Fifteen kilometres is about nine miles; 'Duero' is the Spanish name for the Douro.
